Durkin’s Tavern is the place to watch all the University of Illinois basketball games. We're going to the United Center and we want you to come with us! Durkin's has TWO trips planned to the United Center to watch some Blackhawks hockey this year. The first one is for the Vancouver game on November 6 at 6:00pm.  Our $75 VIP Package includes food and drinks (at Durkin's) so you can eat, drink and watch hockey live for under $100. The pre-party will be from 3-5pm, it includes a meal package at Durkin's featuring Bud Light Drafts. We are scheduled for a 5pm departure from Durkin's (round trip school bus transportation). Pick up and drop off will be at the Billy Goat tavern (just east of the U.C.). The bus will leave Billy Goat one half hour from the end of the game. There will be drinks on the bus both ways. Don't forget, our package also includes your ticket to the game!

Our second trip is scheduled for Friday December 30 at 7:30pm to watch the Hawks take on the Detroit Red Wings. It's Eve of the Eve and what better way to get ready to ring in the New Year than to watch some Hawkey! Departure from Durkin's will be at 6:30pm and your $85 package will include a ticket to the game and a two-hour post-party back at Durkin's - an Official Blackhawks Bar in Chicago. We're gearing up for football season in a big way this Thursday, August 18th for the Steelers vs. Philly game.  $1 Iron City and Iron City Light bottles ALL NIGHT! That's in addition to our weekly $1 Bud Light cans special that we run every Thursday. That's not all Steelers fans! We have tons of new stuff for you this year. Our 2011/2012 Durkin's Steelers shirts should be in any day now and they're SWEET. T-shirts will be available for purchase for $20 (Hoodies and long-sleeve T's will be coming later this year). You asked for hats and they're in production, so we should have them by the first regular season game. You asked for a bus trip to Indy for the Steelers vs. Colts game, and guess what? You got it! In addition to all that, $3 You-call-it's are back again this year, every Sunday. Fighting Illini Football!

Durkin's is gearing up for Illinois Fighting Illini Football in a big way. We have a full schedule of events for the 2011/2012 Illini Football season. We're going to kick it all off the night before the first game with a fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 2. We will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the night to the I-fund supporting Illini student athletes. Next up is the season opener versus Arkansas State on Saturday, Sept. 3. Get to Durkin's for the first game and get your Durkin's Illini Mug free! Bring it back for every game and get $5 32oz Bud Light Drafts or fill it up from 9am-5pm on Saturdays for $25 all day!!! 

Next, we will be giving out free T-Shirts on September 10 when the Illini take on South Dakota State. Get to Durkin's early, though, as quantities will be limited to the first 50 fans. On Sept. 17 Durkin's is taking a VIP coach bus to Champaign for the ASU game. This trip is going to be a blast with a full tailgate buffet at the stadium, ticket to the game and beer the whole way down and back. On 10/22 Durkin's is traveling to West Lafayette, Indiana, to watch the Illini take on the Boilermakers for their homecoming. Don't worry - we will be in the Illini section so make sure to wear your Orange!!! If you have any questions about our events this year or want to book a ticket to one of our road trips give us a call at the Bar 1 office - 773.868.8073. GO ILLINI!
